NBA Most Valuable Player Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James led selections named Thursday for the All-NBA First Team announced by the league. Curry, who sparked the Warriors to last year`s NBA crown and the best record in league history this season at 73-9, was a unanimous pick with all 129 voters in a media panel that decided the lineup. James, trying to reach the NBA Finals for the sixth season in a row, was selected to the All-NBA First Team for the 10th time, matching the second-most appearances on the list in league history, with 125 votes.

Klay Thompson and NBA Most Valuable Player Stephen Curry sparked a stunning fourth-quarter rally as Golden State beat host Oklahoma City 108-101 to avoid NBA playoff elimination. Thompson scored a career playoff high 41 points, including an NBA one-game playoff record 11 3-pointers in 18 attempts, and Curry added 29 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists as the Warriors leveled the best-of-seven Western Conference final at three wins each. `I`m so proud of everybody,` Thompson said.

NBA Defensive Player of the Year Kawhi Leonard of the San Antonio Spurs was a unanimous selection to the 2015-16 NBA All-Defensive First Team announced Wednesday. Also on the All-Defensive top lineup was forward Draymond Green of the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors, center DeAndre Jordan and guard Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers and guard Avery Bradley of the Boston Celtics.

Sports - NBA Grizzlies name heat assistant Fizdale as new coach

David Fizdale, an assistant coach for the Miami Heat for the past eight seasons, was named on Sunday as the new coach of the NBA Memphis Grizzlies. It will be the first head coaching post for Fizdale, who replaces the fired Dave Joerger, now coach of the Sacramento Kings.
